The model 444 boots are made in Tokyo, by a factory that specializes in the production of work boots, and finished with a 270 degree Goodyear flat welt \u0026amp; heavy duty upper stitching.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis batch is made from a special \"Avancorpo\" bullhide leather with an incredible grain texture. Avancorpo usually refers to a specific portion of the horse front, a cut of hide coming from the chest area — in this case, it's being used to denote which section of the cow was used, as this is not horsehide. This is a veg-tanned leather, and is fully dyed black (not tea-core). The uppers feature a very pronounced grain throughout, in addition to being exceptionally thick and durable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThey're finished with the usual suspects of Engineer Boot trims: a BILTBUCK rubber heel and outsole combo, nickel-plated steel buckles, and stamped leather insoles.
